Alpha-Beta Peel

Salicylic Acid can be used in conjunction with Glycolic Acid to provide an extremely effective skin exfoliation and skin peel rejuvenation treatment. For regular skin care maintenance this typically involves first applying a 2% or 5% Salicylic Exfoliator to the skin and rinsing with tepid water and then applying a Glycolic Acid exfoliator of around 10%. After rinsing the Glycolic Acid you should apply the Hyaluronic Moisturizer and any other anti-aging treatments such as Vitamin C and SPF as required. This procedure can be performed several times per week although if redness or irritation appear do give your skin a break from exfoliation and skin peels. The results from performing this skin care procedure are definitely remarkable and you will wonder how you survived without it.

Performing a peel is done much the same way as described above except that peels are done at least every 2 weeks apart. A popular treatment is to use a low strength Alpha-Beta system daily and a higher strength Alpha-Beta peel system bi-monthly.

Glycolic Peel

Glycolic Acids are Alpha Hydroxy Acids used to rejuvenate the skin and create a younger and fimer appearance. Glycolic Acid thoroughly exfoliates, and stimulates new skin cell & collagen production leaving facial skin firmer and younger appearance. Glycolic Peels all have a pH level of 2.2.

Glycolic 30% pH2
Medically formulated to increase cell turnover rate. Not for sensitive or cuprous skin.
Glycolic 40% pH3
Formulated to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. PH balance for milder peel.

Salicylic Peel

Salicylic Resurfacing can add a new dimension to the treatment of oily, congested skin types. Salicylic has proven effective at reducing oil production and bringing latent blemishes to the surface so they can be properly cleared.

The Salicylic Peel is a Beta Hydroxy Acid peel which gives a dramatic skin peel. The results are excellent when the 2% or 5% are applied daily and the higher strength peels are applied every 2-3 weeks. The Salicylic Peel is appropriate for all skin types including combination and oily skin and acneic skin. Salicylic Peels are an will also improve the results of your Glycolic or Lactic Peel treatment.

When left on the skin for only 1-2 minutes (refer to instructions when performing a peel) peeling, redness and down-time varies from 0 to 3 days. Aproximately 5 days after performing a peel the skin appears rejuvenated and more youthful looking.

Lactic Peel

Lactic acid, a non-toxic substance derived naturally from milk, has been proven effective at smoothing out fine lines and regenerating mature, sun-damaged yet sensitive skin.

Lactic Acid is a non-irritating rapid exfoliator. Lactic Acid is recommended for those that are new to peel and exfoliating agents in skin care products, as well as those that have used other exfoliators for a long period and want to improve results.

Lactic Acid is a naturally occurring human metabolite, and combined with the chemical free style of CFP products there is less potential for allergic reaction with this type of acid peel. Lactic Acid is said to be less harsh and more moisturizing than Glycolic Acid skin peels.

Jessner’s Peel

The combination of Salicylic acid, Lactic acid, and Resorcinol is formulated to exfoliate the skin resulting in the destruction of the upper layers of the epidermis. This frequency and number of applications can control the skin rejuvenation results, decreasing acneic damage, hyperpigmentation, and may improve superficial wrinkle lines and acne comedones.

Jessner’s Non-Resorcinol Peel

This revolutionary skin peeling treatment helps improve skin texture, hide superficial epidermal lines and generally enhance the appearance of the skin. Does not include Resorcinol.

Organic Papaya Enzyme

Peel dissolves dead skin cells to leave the complexion smooth, silky soft & radiant. Effective on acneic skin types.

Eye Treatment - Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance that's present in every tissue of the body, with highest concentration in connective tissues (such as the skin and cartilage). Hyaluronic acid assists with moisture retention, binding water molecules to cells for enhanced lubrication, cushioning and support. Hyaluronic acid helps the skin retain moisture and promotes natural rejuvenation, while also contributing to the restoration of viscoelasticity and reduction of sun-induced damage (including wrinkles) to the skin. It's also believed to support improved overall skin appearance.

Frequently asked questions

How long do chemical peels take?

Most peels are performed in less than one hour, depending on size of the area being treated.

What will my skin feel like after a chemical peel?

The state of your skin after a peel depends on what kind of peel you had. The superficial peels have limited effects, the medium peels may cause some redness and the deeper peels may require weeks to recover.

How many peels will I need?

The superficial peels are usually done several times over the course of several months. The deeper peels usually only need to be performed once to achieve the desired effect. Regardless of the technique, you will likely need repeat treatments in the future. You and your physician will decide what is best for you.

How long do the results last?

With good sun protection, results can last months to years, depending on the depth of the peel. Generally, the deeper peels have a more long lasting effect.

What are the risks of chemical peels?

Superficial peels are quite safe although rarely minor irritation of the skin can occur. The risks of deeper peels include infection, scarring, redness, and discoloration. Furthermore, during a deep peel, anesthesia must be used and vital signs must be monitored throughout the procedure.

How long after a chemical peel before I can return to normal activities?

Superficial peels require no recovery time (hence the name “lunchtime peel”). Recovery from a deep peel requires occlusive bandages and can take weeks to months under normal circumstances.
